A clear colorless liquid with a chloroform-like odor. Flash point 56°F. Denser than water and insoluble in water. Vapors are heavier than air. Density 10.4 lb / gal. (REACTIVITY, 2003) Inhalation of vapors causes nausea, drunkenness, depression. Contact of liquid with eyes may produce corneal injury. Prolonged contact with skin may cause a burn. (USCG, 1999)
