1 Purpose
This procedure defines the requirements of calibrating all inspection, measuring and test equipment so that measurement uncertainty is known all the times.

Note: PPF now uses Online QMS system form handling of Calibration record of the equipment the "Calibration Task" Form a can be raised alternatively online at (CC-CMS)
Procedure
The management of PPF ensure that all the equipment whose measurement can affect the product quality is calibrated against traceable national/international standards.
Identification
All the inspection, measuring & test equipment used in PPF will be identified with unique identification number. The scheme of identification will start from 001.
The identification number will be indicated on all equipment by suitable indicator i.e. Engraving, affixing of sticker, permanent with pen or any other suitable indicator.
Master List of All Inspection Measuring & Testing Equipment
MR will maintain the List of Equipment along their Calibration Plan . After each calibration, MR will update the Task Record of Calibration at . Moreover Equipment printable tags and Calibration Log are available online as well.
Calibration
External calibration agency will be approved by MR. Before approval he makes sure that calibration agency has the standard traceable to International standards.
MR will send the equipment to calibration agency in proper casing or call the agency inside the company. Upon receiving the equipment and calibration certificate from calibration agency, he will make sure that “Calibration Status” sticker is pasted on the equipment. This sticker shows the date of calibration and next due date. He will also maintain the records of these certificates and update the calibration task record at
All the in-house calibration is carried out according to documented work instructions by using the traceable standards and performed by trained personnel. Calibration Task Record is used to record the calibration results at Calibration Log .
Assistant MR is responsible to make an annual calibration plan of all inspection, measuring and test equipment.
